Hollow tree

This photo was taken in early 2005. This mighty tree was burned out several years ago by a fire, but the strength and determination of Mother Nature was not to be underestimated and the tree regenerated to a certain degree. Sadly, however, earlier this year a severe storm came through and broke the tree off at its weakened base. Fortunately, we have this tribute to its former glory and resilience.
